McCarty’s Top Holiday Safety Tips

The holidays are right around the corner – are you ready? At McCarty Insurance Agency, we want to take this opportunity to share some holiday safety tips. To help protect your family and property, here are some tips to help over the festive season:

  • Avoid overloading electrical outlets.
  • Keep your Christmas fresh by watering daily.
  • Use battery-operated candles.
  • Never string up lights with staples or nails.
  • Keep combustible away from heat sources.
  • Turn off and unplug all decorations when going to sleep or leaving the house.
  • Keep kids and pets out of the kitchen when cooking.
  • Avoid wearing loose clothing while cooking.
  • Never leave the kitchen when the stove top is on or the oven is in use.

Our offices will be closed from December 24 – December 25, but we will respond to questions and queries as promptly as possible.
