- Lock up – while it may seem obvious, always lock your doors when you leave you car. Keeping your doors unlocked is like giving thieves an open invitation into your vehicle. If someone cannot see what is in your car and will have a hard time getting into your vehicle, they will be much less likely to try and break in.
- Park smart – when looking for a parking spot for your vehicle, find a space that is in a well-lit area that has plenty of traffic. Not being able to hide in the shadows and having to deal with many passersby’s will make your vehicle less of a target for thieves.
