Can you believe that the first day of December is only a week away? As November comes to an end, it is the perfect time to fill up your calendar with plenty of family-friendly Christmas events in the local area. Don’t miss out on any of these events that people of all ages can enjoy together!
Christmas Tree Lane opens on December 2nd and runs through the 25th. More than 140 homes and 300 trees will be decorated on Van Ness Blvd. to help you get into the holiday spirit. The lights are turned on at 6 p.m. and turned off at 10 p.m. giving you plenty of time to enjoy the show!
The 86th Annual Downtown Fresno Christmas Parade will take place on Saturday, December 5th at 11 a.m. This year’s parade will follow a new route that will pass many of the icons in the city. This year’s theme is “Christmas Around the World” and will reflect the various traditions that are practiced in different countries.
If you are looking to stay active this holiday season while still staying in the holiday spirit, make sure to sign up for the Jingle Bell Run in Fresno! The 5K run and 2-mile walk will take place on December 12th on Christmas Tree Lane. The 5K will start at 9 a.m. with the 2-mile walk starting shortly after the runners take off. All participants are encouraged to bring a toy to donate to Toys for Tots and receive a Santa Hat! All participants will also receive jingle bells, a sweatshirt, and other goodies!
